NAT-T

Post by mch » 17 Apr 2019, 16:55

Hello

I have configured Clavister (12.00.17.05-w3) with IPsec/L2TP and it works with clients running Windows7 and Windows10 if the clients using public IP addresses.

If the clients using private IP addresses behind NAT it doesn't work. The Clavister is configured to use NAT Traversal "Only if needed".

Has anyone been able to connect clients with Windows7/10 behind NAT with Clavister IPsec/L2TP ?

Best regards,
Christer

Hi Christer

Nothing that I have seen, I have a Clavister at home and I'm able to connect to the L2TP/IPsec server from a client behind NAT.

I'm not a 100% sure what the issue could be here but I think we need to see some system logs and ikesnoops from a failed connection attempt.

Best regards
Anton

Hello

Now it's working with both public and private addresses. I don't know what was wrong, it's a mystery. I will come back and make a comment if I find out what the problem was.

Thanks,
Christer
