How to redirect Https to http?

Post by a.prottoborzone » 04 Jan 2012, 16:19

Hello,

I have a problem, I published a web server with IIS6 input are open both http and https, I need to replace them the inbound port on my firewall sg3100 ver 8.9, https (443) on the http port (80) so that not come to my server over https requests but in http.
I tried to make rules:

- Action: SAT SRCNET: all-net destnet: 'my_public_ip' Service: port 443 addresstranslation newipaddress: 'My private ip' newport: 80 All-to-one mapping (checked)
- Action: Allow SRCNET: all-net destnet: 'mioippubblico' Service: port 443

This rule does not work!

I tried a different port:

- Action: SAT SRCNET: all-net destnet: 'mioippubblico' service: port 8888 addresstranslation newipaddress: 'My private ip' newport: 80 All-to-one mapping (checked)
- Action: Allow SRCNET: all-net destnet: 'mioippubblico' service: port 8888

This does work!!

It 'possible that there is an incompatibility with the door of the 443 or I do something wrong?

I look forward to info.

Thank you.

Generally, 443 port itself has different "format" of data, because normal HTTP will be send inside of encrypted tunnel
So, just add new HTTPS port on your web server and map HTTPS (443) port similar with HTTP (80)
