Display MAC address vendors in InControl

It would be great if there was a possibility to show MAC address vendors in InControl like it is done in "Neighbor Devices" on the cOS Core Web GUI.
That would be very helpful in the log explorer but also in the log analyzer (for example for the ARP cube).

Thanks,
Michael

Re: Allow IPv6 with cOS PPPoE

Hi Anton, Many thanks for looking into this. Don't get me wrong, I understand that Germany is probably not a big market since there are so many other established firewall brands here and also most IT consultants I'm getting in touch with don't fully understand IPv6 so they rather don't implement it ...

Don't label physical ports with WAN, LAN, etc.

I have been working on a project this week together with another company and I used Clavister E-80 (HW Revision B). There is a new "feature" with this new release that ports are labelled LAN and WAN where I can't recall seeing this on E-80 Rev. A. Even though it's a cosmetical issue it can be highly...

Re: Submit "Unknown" Applications

Oh, btw, I'm wondering if this thread makes any sense to anyone else but me... So basically there are several applications that are marked "unknown" in cOS Core Application Control. Is there a way to submit samples of these to Clavister so these can be added to newer versions and no longer sh...

Submit "Unknown" Applications

Hi Clavister Team,
Is there a manual or automatic mechanism to submit applications that are marked as "Unknown" in application control in cOS Core?

Thanks,
Michael

Re: Packet Capture reader

Click "Stop All", click "Cleanup", open "Capture Options" and set the required interfaces/protocols/ports/adresses and extend the "Capture Size" limit to the required value. Default "Capture Size" is 512 kiB but can be changed to 512 MiB. Hint: Sometimes it is required to click "Clear options" first...

Make "groups" an object rather than a text field

Currently "groups" in cOS core are a plain text field in contrast to the rest of the configuration. There are chances for typos the way it is implemented currently since saving an address object or activating a configuration with a non-existing group name on an address object does not display any wa...

Allow IPv6 with cOS PPPoE

Currently PPPoE is limited to IPv4 in cOS Core when the integrated client is used. Not sure if Germany is considered an important market for Clavister but here most smaller companies use an ADSL/VDSL connection which is established via PPPoE (in our case it 100% of our customers with less than 100 e...

IPv6 / IPv4 feature parity for threat prevention in cOS Core

IPv6 is out there since ages and in Germany basically all providers who offer business tariffs provide and support IPv6. If I'm not completely misunderstanding the manual and the GUI there is no IPv6 support for any threat prevention features of cOS Core. I'm aware there are still a lot IT service a...
