Exclude single IDP signature

Hi All, I was reading the manual back and forth but I can't figure out how to disable/exclude a single IDP signature ID when it is triggering a false positive. The only thing I can do is to exclude the whole group with all signatures belonging to it but just because one ID in the group is causing iss...

Re: Service settings "Forward ICMP errors" and "Enable IPv4 Path MTU Discovery"

Hi Rob, Thanks for your reply. But there is one question I still have: The first is to make sure you have a sufficiently high TTL value configured, which should prevent attackers from making it past the first few hops. If you consider most attackers will typically come from outside, likely another I...

Set focus to login screen when starting InControl

Whenever I start InControl the active window focus is never on the InControl login screen. That is just a very little detail but it gets me every time and I can't think of any other program that starts in the background so I simply don't learn and I always type the password and then I notice nothing...

Service settings "Forward ICMP errors" and "Enable IPv4 Path MTU Discovery"

Hi All, The two service settings "Forward ICMP errors" and "Enable IPv4 Path MTU Discovery" are unchecked for the predefined services by default. But for customers using an own DSL connection (MTU 1492 instead of 1500) or connecting with other services with a MTU less than 1500 this is causing massi...

How can I display Current bandwidth usage per IP?

Hi All, If you are an admin I'm nearly 100% sure you heard this question already from all your customers: "Why is the internet so slow"? Normally with all the other firewalls I have been working with in the past there is a more or less fancy GUI element that displays current connections together wit...

Display MAC address vendors in InControl

It would be great if there was a possibility to show MAC address vendors in InControl like it is done in "Neighbor Devices" on the cOS Core Web GUI.
That would be very helpful in the log explorer but also in the log analyzer (for example for the ARP cube).

Thanks,
Michael

Re: Allow IPv6 with cOS PPPoE

Hi Anton, Many thanks for looking into this. Don't get me wrong, I understand that Germany is probably not a big market since there are so many other established firewall brands here and also most IT consultants I'm getting in touch with don't fully understand IPv6 so they rather don't implement it ...

Don't label physical ports with WAN, LAN, etc.

I have been working on a project this week together with another company and I used Clavister E-80 (HW Revision B). There is a new "feature" with this new release that ports are labelled LAN and WAN where I can't recall seeing this on E-80 Rev. A. Even though it's a cosmetical issue it can be highly...

Re: Submit "Unknown" Applications

Oh, btw, I'm wondering if this thread makes any sense to anyone else but me... So basically there are several applications that are marked "unknown" in cOS Core Application Control. Is there a way to submit samples of these to Clavister so these can be added to newer versions and no longer sh...

Submit "Unknown" Applications

Hi Clavister Team,
Is there a manual or automatic mechanism to submit applications that are marked as "Unknown" in application control in cOS Core?

Thanks,
Michael
